The insurance consists of 3 Sections as follows :

SECTION I : Covering damage to Insured Machinery.
SECTION II : Covering damage to surrounding property belonging to the Insured or property under the care custody or control of the Insured.
SECTION III : Covering death or bodily injury of any person other than an employee of the Insured or property damage of third party.

    All directly consequent upon and solely due to Explosion or Collapse of the Machinery

 
 
Exception :

• Damage to Machinery or to other property belonging to the Insured arising during hydraulic test of the Machinery and occasioned thereby.
• Loss of use or consequential loss incurred by the Insured.
• Damage or liability consequent upon Explosion or Collapse occasioned by the chemical action or ignition of the contents of the Machinery.
• Liability assumed by the Insured by agreement.
• War and kindred risks, civil war, mutiny, civil commotion assuming the proportion of or amounting to popular rising, military rising, insurrection, rebellion, revolution, conspiracy, military or usurped power, confiscation or destruction or requisition by order of the Government or any public authority, riot, strike, lock-out, or malicious persons acting on behalf of or in connection with any Political Organisation.
• Ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity from nuclear fuel or nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel.
• Nuclear weapons material.

The Policy provides definitions for the following :

Explosion : The sudden and violet rending of the Machinery by force of internal steam or other fluid pressure (other than pressure of ignited flue gases) causing bodily displacement of any part of the Machinery together with forcible ejectment of the contents.

Collapse : The sudden and dangerous distortion (whether or not attended by rupture of any part of the Machinery caused by crushing stress by force of steam or other fluid pressure (other than pressure of ignited flue gases).

    Wearing away o wasting of the material of the Machinery by leakage, corrosion, act of fuel or otherwise; slowly developing deformation or distortion of any part of the Machinery: cracks, fractures, blisters, lamination flaws or grooving and failure of joints - All these do not constitute Explosion or Collapse even though repair or replacement are necessary. However, when Explosion or Collapse arising from these defects happened, the resultant damage is covered.
